The answer was Yes! Oh, and this new 13th Doctor just happened to be, for the first time, a woman? Double the thunderous response. When the Big Three of the first Star Wars films Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill reunited on stage the fans yelped, wept, trembled, shrieked, clapped, and, most of all, cheered.
Well done, Jedi master, well done. Reynolds was game and said he appreciated that the movies opened doors for his career. Despite that fact or maybe because of it? Weiss and David Benioff. The disabled seating line will also have wristbands.
All the same directions and procedures for Hall H will apply to the disabled seating line. Disabled seating wristbands will only be distributed to attendees with a disabled seating sticker and their attendant with a hangtag. Wristbands do not hold your place in line. If you leave the line, make sure someone in your group remains to hold your spot or you will lose it.
You must return to your group prior to AM or you will be sent to the back of the entire Hall H line, even if you have a wristband. While we do not recommend saving space in line, those in line for wristbands may save space for no more than 5 people. Any additional people beyond those 5 will be asked to leave and may rejoin the end of the Next Day Line. If I have a wristband, decide not to wait overnight, and do not have a friend hold my spot, will I still get into the first panel?
As long as you return prior to AM you will receive first seating. You will however, be at the end of the wristbanded line. Your child must be with you when you receive your wristband. Once they have a wristband, they may leave, and you can save them a spot in line, but they must be present when you get your wristband. That doesn't mean it's impossible, though! The great thing about wristbands is you can see exactly how far you are from the last attendee with a wristband and decide if you want to wait or not.
Wristbands are issued such that the wristband holder will have first seating for Hall H. While we appreciate your willingness to share, we ask that you do not give away your wristbands to allow those who have spent the time waiting in line the chance to enter.
To keep things as fair as possible, wristbands will only be given to those people present in line, while supplies last. Anyone who comes later will have to go to the back of the line. One wristband per person. If your group is not together at the time of distribution, you may not receive the same color wristband, and will not be allowed to enter together as a group. For example, if you are nearer the front of the line and receive a red wristband, but your other friends farther back get blue wristbands, they will only be allowed to line up in the blue section and may not join you in the red section.
Simply put, if you want your group to enter the hall together, make sure you all get your wristbands at the same time. You may hold a place for no more than 5 wristband holders in line overnight, and they may return to meet you in the same spot before AM as long as they have the correct color wristband for your group.
Additional people beyond those 5 will be asked to rejoin at the end of the wristbanded line. Although the entire event has something to offer, the star of Comic Con is undoubtedly Hall H. This 6,person-capacity venue plays host to the flashiest and most sought after panels and discussions, which makes it notoriously hard to get into especially for the more popular Friday and Saturday events. In fact, the events in Hall H are so popular that you need to know exactly what to do to get a ticket and be prepared to spend hours waiting in line the day before you want to get in.
Know the Rules The exact process of getting into Hall H can change from year to year, but in recent years, Comic Con International has been using the same basic wristband and ticketing method. This means you will want to familiarize yourself with the rules before setting off for the Convention Center, as running afoul of the rules could see you potentially get kicked out of line and lose you chance to enter Hall H. The official rules state that one person can hold space in line for five people, which means that you and your friends can take turns waiting to ensure no one has to miss out on valuable Comic Con time.
Still, it is important that you follow these rules. The line is self-policing, and anyone who attempts to cut in line or save space for more than 5 people will almost instantly be called out by others in line and forced to leave.
Make a Plan Since you and your friends will need to share line duties, it is a good idea to make a concrete plan ahead of time. This means firstly determining which Hall H panels you want to see most to determine which day you want to go. From there, you and your friends can create a line-sharing schedule to ensure that everyone can still see the events they want to without risking their seat in Hall H the next day.
The HallHLine Twitter account and hashtag both give updates during Comic-Con week as to the status of the Hall H line, the conditions, the colorful personalities, giveaways, and more. Well, to honor that tradition, a Twitter user named Alejandro has created his own Hall H sign, a replica of the distinctive one that appears on the side of the San Diego Convention Center.
