The crowd was almost totally real MM fans -- lead singer Paul let us carry vocals on many of their older songs. With a song block from their album coming out in December, fans got a picture of their sonic future. For a band that uses synth and FX generously in their songs, it's amazing how their live performances meet and top their album cuts -- especially when you consider their on-stage energy, improvisation and the crowd's resonant singing. I recommend bringing a friend to their show as well.
Their music has an easy-to-follow melody and cadence, a welcome sound to beginners. MuteMath's performances make my jaw drop. I saw them about three years ago and they just take the show and make it HUGE!!! Definitely one of my top three live shows of all time They just know how to do it right. They guys are great and they have amazing equipment. Their music is tops. Their performance will put you in a trance and make you feel all of the feels.
MuteMath is phenomenal group. See them live. Don't think about it. Do it. You will thank yourself for the minimal expense I would pay much more to see them if their tickets were more expensive of purchasing a ticket and the effort of getting to their performance. MuteMath are musical gods. This is the 2nd time I've seen them and even though Darren and Roy are no longer in the band, they still play the hell out of their music. The new album, Play Dead, is killer and they sound even better live Seeing them live is a must for ANY music fan.
What can you say about the most amazing live band on the planet? If you have not experienced this band please see to it The music I still have the beautiful music swimming around in my head and it is wonderful!! Go check out the MuteMath debut on David Letterman. They blew Dave Away!!! After they played he came running over laughing, saying "Check Out That Drummer!!!! My son turned me onto that little tidbit, and since then I've thoroughly enjoyed them.
Great Rock Experience. These guys are just awesome to see live. This was the second time I had seen them. The show was totally different than the first time I saw them, and still brought all the same energy. Also got to meet Darren and Todd from the band, and they are some of the coolest, nicest people ever. Uniquely gifted group, and their shows never disappoint.
Second time seeing MuteMath and they definitely do not disappoint! Amazing amount of energy these guys have from start to finish. Definitely worth seeing! They also usually have really good opening bands, so make sure you show up to support them as well. MuteMath was sooooo good. They are amazing performers and dancers. I would love to see them live again. They got me pumped for the rest of the concert and I loved it when they went on stage with them again and did group covers. It was an amazing concert.

Music and more from a Christian perspective. Slow down, and have your change ready. Since Still, despite some devastating body-blows MuteMath is still alive and well, and on tour. Massive exposure at stadium venues, a hot new album, and a single with a built-in human interest story tailor-made for the likes of Ellen and Entertainment Tonight….
With three weeks to prepare, Paul Meany is now the last man standing from the original, established MuteMath line-up. Hutch was replaced, ironically, by one Darren King. Multi-instrumentalist Todd Gummerman, often the busiest man on stage, had been brought in to replace original guitarist and founding member Greg Hill.
The three-week break-in period would be a challenge - but a challenge he was up for. Colony House, fronted by Caleb and Will Chapman sons of Steven Curtis Chapman , performed hooky arrangements of country-tinged alt-rock and satisfied the crowds at both venues with a tight set of well-performed songs, setting the stage for the band that everyone was so eager to see and hear Half of that was gone.
They brought it. Spotlight… Hutch brings an earthy, solid approach to playing, with enough classic rock chops to supply the power and enough hints of jazz to supply the glory.
