While for years he's added to the 'speculation' surrounding the bandage, Lemon used to claim it was because of a racey tattoo he had which TV producers didn't want on their cameras. He said: "I often wear a bandage on my wrist as I have a rather unorthodox tattoo right there and while I would argue it is a lively form of artistic expression, unfortunately most television producers tend to disagree. But as it turns out, that's not true. Sharp Lemon fans the man, not the citrus fruit realised that while he was at the BAFTAs, he appeared without his bandage and there was no tattoo.
So he had to explain yesterday: "Obviously there's nowt wrong with my hand whatsoever, but it's artistic expression, like when Nelly wears a plaster on his cheek.
